031015 – Chosen People, A Baby, An Abomination

Leviticus 18:22 New King James Version (NKJV)

22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.

The following verse shows those, by the lifestyles that they have chosen, who have no personal saving relationship with God.

Revelation 21:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Life style adverse changes and reduced life-age expectancies can be attributed to homosexual life styles.

Homosexuals more likely to suffer from depression: “A new study in the United Kingdom has revealed that homosexuals are about 50% more likely to suffer from depression and engage in substance abuse than the rest of the population, reports Health24.com . . . the risk of suicide jumped over 200% if an individual had engaged in a homosexual lifestyle . . . the lifespan of a homosexual is on average 24 years shorter than that of a heterosexual .

Consider God’s Chosen People, those who we know as Israel.

Deuteronomy 6:4-12 New International Version (NIV)

4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
10 When the Lord your God brings you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you—a land with large, flourishing cities you did not build, 11 houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant—then when you eat and are satisfied, 12 be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

Deuteronomy 7:6-8 New International Version (NIV)

6 For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosenyou out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.
7 The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples.8 But it was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Consider three of the leaders of Israel, and how they showed “Blessing and honor and glory and power,” to God, who is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Joshua 24:15 New International Version (NIV)

15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Nehemiah 1:4-11 New International Version (NIV)
“4 … I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. 5 Then I said:“Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s family, have committed against you. 7 We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses.8 “Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations, 9 but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’ 10 “They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. 11 Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.”

2 Chronicles 6:3-4 New International Version (NIV)

3 While the whole assembly of Israel was standing there, the king turned around and blessed them. 4 Then he said:“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, who with his hands has fulfilled what he promised with his mouth to my father David.

12 Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in front of the whole assembly of Israel and spread out his hands. 13 Now he had made a bronze platform, five cubits long, five cubits wide and three cubits high, and had placed it in the center of the outer court. He stood on the platform and then knelt down before the whole assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward heaven. 14 He said: “Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on earth—you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way

2 Chronicles 7:1-3 New International Version (NIV)

7 When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.2 The priests could not enter the temple of the Lord because the glory of theLord filled it. 3 When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the Lord above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying, “He is good; his love endures forever.”

Consider the situation that is present in America. There are three major problems that need the immediate attention of us, as a nation, and of our nation’s leader

1. We need to turn from our nation’s way of killing unborn babies. Unfortunately, our nation’s leader thinks that it is okay to kill unborn babies.
2. We need to turn from our nation’s way of providing marriage for people of the same sex. Unfortunately, our nation’s leader thinks that it is okay for people of the same sex to be married.
3. We need to turn from our nation’s way of providing only tacit support of God’s Chosen People, who are the nation of Israel. Unfortunately, our nation’s leader has treated the leader of Israel without proper respect.

The 2016 USA elections are coming into view. We will elect a President, one-third of the Senate, and all of the House Of Representatives. In 2008, a majority of voters, who said that they were Christians, voted for our nation’s present leader. Did they know that he would support the killing of unborn babies; that he would support same-sex marriage; and that he would provide only tacit support for “God’s Chosen People,” the nation of Israel? Can we say, very truthfuly, that our nation’s present leader is like the three leaders of Israel who are Joshua, Nehemiah and King Solomon? Are the Christian voters who voted for our present leader experiencing “buyer’s remorse? Do our nation’s Christian voters feel remorseful for electing a president who supports abortion on demand; who supports same-sex marriage; and who does not provide proper respect for Israel?

Consider the following link, which will let you know something about the mindset of our nation’s leader. It is important to know that the points that have been made about our nation’s leader are not gossip; they are documented by the words of our nation’s leader. We should ask ourselves if our nation’s leader meets the standards of leadership that are needed to lead a nation that was established using God’s Word as a guide for our system of government and laws. Very little was known about our nation’s leader before he was elected to office; who was elected “through the support of a majority of Christian voters.” We have learned a lot about our nation’s leader over the last six years. We should ask ourselves if we will vote for a similar candidate in 2016..

We need to know enough about a candidate’s opinions and mindset before we cast a vote for that person. As Christians, we have no business voting for candidates who support abortion on demand; who support same-sex marriage; and who do not properly support the nation of Israel. These three personal character traits need to be known about anyone, and everyone, who will be seeking our votes.

Consider Jesus,”the Lamb of God.”

Revelation 5:11-13 New King James Version (NKJV)

11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice:

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:

“Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

Consider our nation, and our leader. Do we, as a nation; does he, as our nation’s leader,” show “blessing and honor and glory and power” to Jesus, the Lamb of God? How can we, or he, say that we show “blessing and honor and glory and power” to Jesus when we, he, support the killing of unborn babies; when we, he, support same-sex marriages; when we, he, do not show proper respect and support for God’s chosen people, who are the nation of Israel? We need to fall on the promises of 2 Chronicles 7:14, which is our way of making things right between us and God. May we never repeat the same mistake again of electing to public office those who support the killing of unborn babies; those who support same-sex marriage; and those who do not show proper support and respect for Israel and the Jews, who are God’s chosen people.

2 Chronicles 7:14 New King James Version (NKJV)

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Consider Jesus, the Lamb of God, who died for our sins to give us eternal life with Him.

We need to consider also that we, as a nation, and our nation’s leader, do not reflect the image of our Lord when we support the killing of unborn babies. We need to consider that we, as a nation, and our nation’s leader, do not reflect the image of our Lord when we support same-sex marriage. We need to consider that we, as a nation, and our nation’s leader, do not reflect the image of our Lord when we do not provide the proper respect and support for the Jews, and Israel, who are God’s Chosen People.

Let us consider the Holiness of Jesus, the Lamb of God, Who sits on the throne.

To Him Who Sits On The Throne

Author: Eternity

Things are discussed in this website that relate to God's creation, from "eternity to eternity," and all that is addressed within those parameters. Consider Isaiah 43:13, "Even from eternity I am He, And there is no one who can rescue from My hand; I act, and who can reverse it?” The Moody Study Bible adds a comment: "God is the ruler of all, and there is nothing that can stand against Him. His will is irresistible. The Bible Knowledge Commentary adds this thought: "No one can reverse what God puts into action or thwart His plans." The articles that are found in this site may relate to anything that is found in the Bible, from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22.21, as well as anything that may relate to the Bible.
