28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

Genesis 1:31 – 2:3
31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
1 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

Genesis 1:31-2:3 King James Version (KJV) (4004 B.C., Scofield Study Bible).
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
This passage is the first one that mentions the seventh day.
Exodus 16:22-24 New King James Version (NKJV) (1491 B.C., Scofield Study Bible)
22 And so it was, on the sixth day, that they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one. And all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. 23 Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord has said: ‘Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. Bake what you will bake today, and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.’” 24 So they laid it up till morning, as Moses commanded; and it did not stink, nor were there any worms in it.
This passage is the first one that mentions the Sabbath, 2513 years since the “seventh day” was mentioned. Only the Jews were present when the teachings of the Sabbath were made by God….to Moses…to only the Jews… Read Exodus 16:1-21. Read the follow groups of scriptures that relate to the Lord’s Sabbath as it related to the Jews…to only the Jews.
Exodus 16:25-27 New King James Version (NKJV)
25 Then Moses said, “Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the field. 26 Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will be none.”
27 Now it happened that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none.
Exodus 16:28-30 New King James Version (NKJV)
28 And the Lord said to Moses, “How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws? 29 See! For the Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore He gives you on the sixth day bread for two days. Let every man remain in his place; let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.” 30 So the people rested on the seventh day.
Exodus 31:15-17 New King James Version (NKJV) (1491, B.C., Scofield Study Bible)
15 Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. 16 Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”
The Sabbath is Holy to the Lord; to be kept by the children of Israel. The Sabbath is to be a sign between God and the children of Israel, forever. In six days God made the heavens and the earth. Consider the word “day.” In every instance of “day” in Exodus 31:15-17, the Hebrew word is “Yom,” (3117) which means “day.” (See below, for a Hebrew explanation of day.)
days יָמִ֗ים ya·mim 3117 day
yom: day
Original Word: יוֹם
Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration: yom
Phonetic Spelling: (yome)
Short Definition: day
In Genessis 1:5, 8, 13, 14, 16, 18, 19, 23, and 31, the word for day is also “Yom,” (3117), which also means “day.”
day, יֹ֔ום yo·vm, 3117 day a prim. root
The repeated and constant use of the word “day” is “Yom.” (from Genesis 1:1 though 2:4):
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. (notice the relationship between day and night)
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. (notice the relationship between day and night)
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Continue with Chapter 2.
4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,
Notice that the phrase “and the evening and the morning,” were the first day, etc… The Sabbath begins on the evening (sunset) of Friday of each week and lasts until the evening (sunset) of Saturday of each week. There is no great length of millions of billions of years in between the evening and morning of each day of creation. The same Hebrew word for day is “Yom” in Genesis 1 and 2 and in the Exodus accounts of day/Yom. In both, Genesis and Exodus, the term “day” relates to continuous twenty-four days.
In Exodus 20:9-11, the word “day” is “Yom,” in every instance that it is used.
9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
The seventh day is “only” the seventh day. The Sabbath Day is “only” the Sabbath Day that occurs “only” on the seventh day. No other day of the week can be made into the Sabbath. The descendants of Israel were the only people who were present when God gave the Sabbath Day to the Jews for keeping (Exodus 31:16; Exodus 1:1-11 and 19:1 through Exodus 20:8. The subject of Exodus is the deliverance of Israel by God from a tyrannical Egyptian leader. Of the descendants of Shem through Abraham, only the descendants of Jacob, the Israelites, were present in the book of Exodus. None of the descendants of Ham or Japheth were present in the book of Exodus. (Noah was the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth…Genesis 9:18; 10:1). Remember that the army of Egypt was chasing the Israelites; no other groups of people were mentioned as joining the fleeing Jews to also be chased by the murderous Egyptians (who would soon became fish food in the Red Sea!).
The Sabbath is special to God, and to the Jews. It is also special to every other group of people because,”God made it special; He made it holy.” Consider how we can keep the Sabbath Holy.
“Shabbat Shalom”
‘Shabbat’ means ‘sabbath’ – so, the seventh day of the week when the Torah instructs the Jewish people to do no work on that day, but rather rest.
‘Shalom’ means ‘peace’ – in the sense of ‘the peace of God’, or something to that effect. By itself, it is a common greeting in Hebrew.
So, saying ‘Shabbat Shalom’ to someone is an expression of your wish for them to enjoy and experience that peace on Shabbat.

Matthew 24 – The Rapture Of Jesus, Or His Second Coming.
Consider Matthew 24:20: “And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.”
The discussion is between Jesus and Jews. Gentiles would not have had the same understanding of the Sabbath that was so very important to Jews.
Exodus 31:16-17 New King James Version (NKJV)
16 Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”

Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple
1 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Consider verse 8. “The beginning of sorrows.” This may very well be the time that the whole world is experiencing now, with the offenses being directed toward the people of the Earth who know the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, who are Jews and Christians. This period of time will precede the time of the tribulation. The events of Ezekiel 38-39 also relate to “the beginning of sorrows.”
Consider verse 21, which relates to the conditions that will be present during the time of the Great Tribulation. Consider the severity of those conditions.
Matthew 24:21 New King James Version (NKJV)
21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
As we continue with this study of the end times, it is important for us to understand the significance of a key verse of scripture, as follows. In those words we find great comfort for the times that may soon come upon our world. The verse will be used frequently in this study. Consider the words “carefully.”

Birkat Kohanim (Priestly Blessing) at the Kotel in Jerusalem 5771 (2011). Many thousands of Jews gathered at the Kotel (the Western Wall) on the 2nd day of Chol HaMoed Pesach 5771 (the intermediate days of the Passover festival of 2011) for Birkat Kohanim (the Priestly Blessing) in accordance with the Torah’s commandment in the book of Bamidbar (Numbers) chapter 6 verse 23-27.
Passover: Begins sunset of Friday, April 22, 2016 and Ends nightfall of Saturday, April 30, 2016. No work permitted on April 23 – 24 and April 29 – 30. Work is permitted only on April 25 – 28 with certain restrictions. Passover (Pesach) celebrates the deliverance of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt. Our Passover megasite has tools, guides, insights, stories, inspiration—and just about everything you need to celebrate Passover. (But bring your own wine.)
The feast of Passover (Exodus 12:1-14; Matthew 26:17-20)/Unleavened Bread (Exodus 12:15-20) is one of the three major feasts for which all males of Israel were required to travel to the temple in Jerusalem (Exodus 23:14-19). The other two feasts are Pentecost (Deuteronomy 16:9-12; Acts 2:1) and Tabernacles/Booths/Ingathering (Nehemiah 8:13-18/John 7:2).

And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”’

Consider the following study notes that relate to the Priestly Blessing.
MacArthur Study Bible, Editor, Dr. John MacArthur
6:22–27 Obedient Israel, organized before and consecrated to the Lord, was the recipient of God’s blessing (i.e., His favor) pronounced by the priests.
6:24 bless. The Lord’s blessing was described as His face (i.e., His presence) shining on His people (v. 25) and looking at them (v. 26). God shone forth in benevolence on Israel and looked on…
6:27 put My name. The name of the Lord represented His person and character. The priests were to call for God to dwell among His people and meet all their needs
Reformation Study Bible, Editor, Dr. R. C. Sproul
6:24–26 This threefold, divinely inspired blessing was pronounced by the priest with uplifted hands (Lev. 9:22). It moves from a general blessing (v. 24), to an invocation of God’s favor and presence (v. 25), and finally to a climactic mention of the peace that comes only with God’s gracious presence (v. 26). The pronouncement of this blessing placed God’s covenant name Lord (Yahweh) on the people (v. 27).
6:25 make his face to shine upon you. Here is a vivid figure for God looking favorably upon His worshipers. The closer one’s access to the face of God, the greater the blessing.

Exodus 33:1-2 New King James Version (NKJV)
1 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Depart and go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘To your descendants I will give it.’ 2 And I will send My Angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanite and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite
Exodus 31:12-13 New King James Version (NKJV)
12 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 13 “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.

Exodus 34:18 New King James Version (NKJV)
18 “The Feast of Unleavened Bread you shall keep. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, in the appointed time of the month of Abib; for in the month of Abib you came out from Egypt.
Exodus 34:22-24 New King James Version (NKJV)
22 “And you shall observe the Feast of Weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the year’s end.
23 “Three times in the year all your men shall appear before the Lord, the Lord God of Israel. 24 For I will cast out the nations before you and enlarge your borders; neither will any man covet your land when you go up to appear before the Lord your God three times in the year.
Deuteronomy 7:6-8 New King James Version (NKJV)
6 “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. 7 The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; 8 but because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
Zechariah 2:8 New King James Version (NKJV)
8 For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.
John 4:22 New King James Version (NKJV)
22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
The name of God used most often in the Hebrew Bible is the Tetragrammaton YHWH (Hebrew: יהוה). It is frequently anglicized as Jehovah and Yahweh and written in most editions of the Bible as “the Lord” owing to the Jewish tradition of reading it as Adonai (“My Lords”) out of respect.
Rabbinic Judaism describes seven names which are so holy that, once written, should not be erased: YHWH, El (“God”), Elohim(“Gods”), Eloah (“God”), El Shaddai, and Tzevaot or Sabaoth (“Of Hosts”). Other names are considered mhttps://youtu.be/xW4YB6fVvJoere epithets or titles reflecting different aspects of God,[1] but chumrah sometimes dictates especial care such as the writing of “G-d” instead of “God” in English or saying Ṭēt-Vav (טו, lit. “9-6”) instead of Yōd-Hē (יה, lit. “10-5” but also “Jah”) for the number fifteen in Hebrew.[2]
The documentary hypothesis proposes that the Torah was compiled from various original sources, two of which (the Jahwist and the Elohist) are named for their usual names for God (YHWH and Elohim respectively).

Matthew 5:43-44
43“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Matthew Chapter 5, English Standard Version
The Sermon on the Mount
1 Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him.
The Beatitudes
2 And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:
3“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
5“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
6“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
7“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
8“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
9“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
10“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Salt and Light
13“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.
14“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Christ Came to Fulfill the Law
17“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Anger
21“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire. 23 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison. 26 Truly, I say to you, you will never get out until you have paid the last penny.f
Lust
27“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.
Divorce
31“It was also said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’ 32 But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Oaths
33“Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform to the Lord what you have sworn.’ 34 But I say to you, Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, 35 or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36 And do not take an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. 37 Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.
Retaliation
38“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. 41 And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42 Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.
Love Your Enemies
43“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

John 14 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
Jesus Comforts His Disciples
1 Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And you know the way where I am going.” 5 Thomas *said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” 6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
Oneness with the Father
7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.”
8 Philip *said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”9 Jesus *said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. 12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.13 Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
15 “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
Role of the Spirit
16 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; 17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.
18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also. 20 In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”22 Judas (not Iscariot) *said to Him, “Lord, what then has happened that You are going to disclose Yourself to us and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.
25 “These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. 28 You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe. 30 I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me; 31 but so that the world may know that I love the Father,I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. Get up, let us go from here.

for richer, for poorer,
in sickness and in health,
until death do us part”
Matthew 19:4-6
4 Jesus answered, “Surely you have read in the Scriptures: When God made the world, ‘he made them male and female.’ 5 And God said, ‘So a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two will become one body.’ 6 So there are not two, but one. God has joined the two together, so no one should separate them.” (New Century Version)

Five days of Valentine? Let’s do six!
If she’s with family or friends, or in an auditorium that is full of people, recognize her – point her out! Look straight into her eyes – never take your eyes off her. Talk to her – tell her how much she means to you. Cherish the memories – look to the future. Cross your heart – make a promise to her that you will always be her man, and that she will always be the special woman that makes your life worth living. All of the other people may be important, but she is the most important person in your life. Fellows, you may not be able to sing like George Strait, but you can always have a song that she will love to hear you sing to her. Make her laugh – never let your shyness get in the way of praising her.

Four days of Valentine? Why so few? Let’s do another one!
In this song, John Michael tells of the things that he has found from studying his wife. In the movie “Fireproof,” Caleb was about to lose his marriage. Michael, the best friend of Caleb, provided sound advice for Caleb. As it related to Caleb’s wife, Catherine, Michael said, “you’ve got to study your wife!” Listen to the things that John Michael Montgomery says in the song about his wife. He had studied her, and had noticed some very simple things about her; but they were things that told him what his wife was like. He learned how she responded to certain things. He learned the way that she loved him. And, from studying his wife, he also learned how much he loved her. Fellows, if you haven’t noticed by now, “women are different!” Study your woman to let her know how much you love her.

Who is it that says that there are only “Three Days Of Valentine?”
Surely, Cupid’s arrow has its resting place in view. Please don’t
hold up “that warrior’s shield” that will block “the love of your life,”
from becoming the most important person in your life. Listen carefully
to the meaning of “Al Di La.”
This blog was inoperable during all of “The Days Of Valentine.”
My apologies.

We’ve heard about “The Twelve Days Of Christmas,” so I am going to add another grouping of days and call it, “The Three Days Of Valentine.” This year, with Valentine’s Day falling on a Sunday, it appears that much of the celebrating began on Friday. As many people have noticed, I will add videos to most of my posts; I have found them to be very useful in drawing people to read my posts, and to strengthening the messages that I write.
During this “Three Days Of Valentine,” I have focused my posts on men, because I believe that men still should call women for their purpose of “getting to know the gals.” The song that I have added to this post tells of the heart-felt love of a “man for a woman.” I have read many comments on YouTube where men, and women, tell of the deep regrets that they have over the fact that they let the love of their life, “slip out of their hands.” Without going any further with that thought, I will just say, “Happy Valentine’s Day;” may our Lord Jesus richly bless you.
The following information was provided to me by an internet friend who lives in Poland; I thank him very much. I think that there is a lot that is missing from our minds as it relates to Valentine’s Day. My friend provided two links, which are very interesting. I have also added two links, with the first relating to the amount of money that people (mostly guys) spend on their special people (mostly gals). (A blank box is shown; click onto the words at the top of the box). Remember that in Genesis it talks about “Adam and Eve,” and not “Adam and Steve.” My second link provides historical data on Valentines’ Day, which closely coincides with that of my friend. I trust that your “Three Days Of Valentine” will be warmly memorable.
The song is great. I know her. Thank you. For Catholics St. Valentine has a still wider than a day szakochanych. God bless you.
St. Valentine, bishop and martyr. Valentine was a bishop of Terni in Umbria – Italia. He lived in the third century. And was a priest of Rome. There, in time of persecution (Claudius II Gota), with St. Mariusz and relatives, assisted the martyrs in the time of their processes and execution. Soon, he was captured and brought to the prefect of Rome, who carried out a routine process of forcing a derogation from Christ. To this end, he had to use clubs. Because it did not bring the expected result, he had Valentine beheaded. This happened on February 14 269 years.
Above his grave Pope Julius I staged the Basilica of St. Valentine.

Ephesians 5:25 New King James Version (NKJV)
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
This “small town southern man” was very much like the older men that I knew when I was growing up in a southern state in America. Just imagine the man to whom Alan Jackson is giving great tribute. He loved Jesus and America. He was faithful to his wife and worked hard to support her and their family. A good reputation was important to him, and he lived a lifestyle that ensured that his life’s legacy was one of great respect. As he treated those of his family, he also had a great kindness for those of his friendship and acquaintance. It is easy to see that, “He was quite a guy,” and that he knew what God’s Word meant by the Words, “Husbands love your wives.”

The Passover Meal
1 Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour had come that He would depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. 2 During supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray Him, 3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come forth from God and was going back to God, 4 got up from supper, and laid aside His garments; and taking a towel, He girded Himself.
Jesus Washes the Disciples’ Feet
5 Then He poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. 6 So He came to Simon Peter. He said to Him, “Lord, do You wash my feet?” 7 Jesus answered and said to him, “What I do you do not realize now, but you will understand hereafter.” 8 Peter said to Him, “Never shall You wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” 9 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, then wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.” 10 Jesus said to him, “He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” 11 For He knew the one who was betraying Him; for this reason He said, “Not all of you are clean.”
12 So when He had washed their feet, and taken His garments and reclined at the table again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? 13“You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am. 14“If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15“For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you. 16“Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him. 17“If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them. 18“I do not speak of all of you. I know the ones I have chosen; but it is that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘HE WHO EATS MY BREAD HAS LIFTED UP HIS HEEL AGAINST ME.’ 19“From now on I am telling you before it comes to pass, so that when it does occur, you may believe that I am He. 20“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”
Jesus Predicts His Betrayal
21 When Jesus had said this, He became troubled in spirit, and testified and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, that one of you will betray Me.” 22 The disciples began looking at one another, at a loss to know of which one He was speaking. 23 There was reclining on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved. 24 So Simon Peter gestured to him, and said to him, “Tell us who it is of whom He is speaking.” 25 He, leaning back thus on Jesus’ bosom, said to Him, “Lord, who is it?” 26 Jesus then answered, “That is the one for whom I shall dip the morsel and give it to him.” So when He had dipped the morsel, He took and gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. 27 After the morsel, Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.” 28 Now no one of those reclining at the table knew for what purpose He had said this to him. 29 For some were supposing, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus was saying to him, “Buy the things we have need of for the feast”; or else, that he should give something to the poor. 30 So after receiving the morsel he went out immediately; and it was night.
31 Therefore when he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in Him; 32 if God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and will glorify Him immediately. 33“Little children, I am with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’ 34“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35“By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
36 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, where are You going?” Jesus answered, “Where I go, you cannot follow Me now; but you will follow later.” 37 Peter said to Him, “Lord, why can I not follow You right now? I will lay down my life for You.”38 Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you deny Me three times.

3Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
Mary Anoints Jesus
1Jesus, therefore, six days before the Passover, came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. 2So they made Him a supper there, and Martha was serving; but Lazarus was one of those reclining at thetable with Him. 3Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. 4But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, who was intending to betray Him, said, 5“Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and given to poor people?” 6Now he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and as he had the money box, he used to pilfer what was put into it. 7Therefore Jesus said, “Let her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of My burial. 8“For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.”
9The large crowd of the Jews then learned that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He raised from the dead. 10But the chief priests planned to put Lazarus to death also;11because on account of him many of the Jews were going away and were believing in Jesus.
Jesus Enters Jerusalem
12On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, “Hosanna! BLESSED ISHE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel.” 14Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written,15“FEAR NOT, DAUGHTER OF ZION; BEHOLD, YOUR KING IS COMING, SEATED ON A DONKEY’S COLT.” 16These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him. 17So the people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify about Him.18For this reason also the people went and met Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign. 19So the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you are not doing any good; look, the world has gone after Him.”
Greeks Seek Jesus
20Now there were some Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast; 21these then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” 22Philip came and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip came and told Jesus. 23And Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25“He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. 26“If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
Jesus Foretells His Death
27“Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. 28“Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came out of heaven: “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.” 29So the crowd of people who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, “An angel has spoken to Him.” 30Jesus answered and said, “This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes. 31“Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. 32“And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.” 33But He was saying this to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die. 34The crowd then answered Him, “We have heard out of the Law that the Christ is to remain forever; and how can You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?” 35So Jesus said to them, “For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. 36“While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light.”
These things Jesus spoke, and He went away and hid Himself from them. 37But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they were not believing in Him. 38This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet which he spoke: “LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM HAS THE ARM OF THE LORD BEEN REVEALED?” 39For this reason they could not believe, for Isaiah said again, 40“HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYESAND HEHARDENED THEIR HEART, SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEE WITH THEIR EYESAND PERCEIVE WITH THEIR HEART, ANDBE CONVERTED AND I HEAL THEM.” 41These things Isaiah said because he saw His glory, and he spoke of Him. 42Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue; 43for they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God.
44And Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me. 45“He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me. 46“I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. 47“If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48“He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. 49“For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. 50“I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.”
