Yoga Emergent Contemplative

Can Yoga ever be Christian? “For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new.” (2 Timothy 4:3, HCSB). The topics that are addressed in the videos of this article are finding “friendly grazing” in many of our mainline and evangelical congregations. Listen carefully to the videos.

  1. In the mid 1970s the church embraced a new doctrine that it was for then but not for now, the age of wealth for the church. I was living the lifestyle that the new testament records and was condemned for it by the baptist church in 1975. A lot of false teaching in the New Age church

    1. There is a growth of the contemplative, emergent, kingdom now theology in churches that would surprise many people. In my city, there is a Southern Baptist congregation that has been led into that direction by their new and younger pastor.

  2. Thanks for the follow at romans10seventeen. I have heard these videos also and have been learning more about the emergent church…it’s creeping into our churches everywhere! I look forward to reading your blog. Blessings!

    2. One of my followers lives in Australia. She has told me how the Emergent church mentality moved into her local Baptist church. She said that it was a lot like the TM that she was involved in before she got saved. Also, one of my friends in New Zealand shared pretty much the same story. In my town, there is the same thing sneaking into our of our most credible congregations.

      1. I’m trying to learn more about it so that I can be aware if it is creeping into my church. So many people I know are being deceived by the whole idea of “Christianized Yoga”…it’s a big fat lie! But try to tell them anything and they think you’re crazy or over reacting.

I’ve started listening to a preacher online who teaches the Bible at his church, line upon line…and I’ve liked what I’ve heard so far. He also teaches about Bible Prophesy. His name is Pastor Jack Hibbs; you might have seen the videos in a couple of my posts. Thanks again for sharing this information.

      2. Yoga is like a creeping snake; it gets where there is any point of entry. It has entered the largest church in my town. The “contemplative, emergent, kingdom now,” theology works in concert with Yoga. Jack Hibbs is a very good teaching pastor. He will not lead you in the wrong direction. Thanks for being such a good internet friend.
