Those Left Behind

The events that are seen in the opening video, have not happened yet but, THEY WILL HAPPEN! The rapture of the church must occur first (John 14:2,3,6). The rapture (1 Cor 15:50-54) will not take place until a predetermined number of Gentiles come to saving faith in Christ, which is known as the fullness of the Gentiles (Rom 11:25). Next, a peace treat must take place between the antichrist and Israel (Daniel 9:27), which will be the beginning of the Tribulation, as shown in Rev chapters 6-19. The Tribulation will last until unsaved Israel calls on the name of Christ for salvation (Zech 12:8-10; Zech 14:1-5; Matt 23:39; Matt 24:22-23; Rev 19:11-21). The purpose for the Tribulation will be to draw unsaved Jews to saving faith in Christ. The things that are going on in our world today may very well be in preparation for God to remove believers in Christ from the earth, so that He can deal with unsaved Jews.

The opening video shows the events that will take place in a period of time that is yet future, and is known as the Tribulation and Great Tribulation, which increase in the effects from Godly judgments. The total tribulation period is a prophetic seven-year period of time when God will use His acts of wrath and judgment to draw unsaved Jews to saving faith in Christ, and to judge sin. As I watched the video, I did not notice any small children in any of the scenes, which is important, because no small children will be “left behind” when the catching up of the saints occurs. A quick study of the times of the tribulation can be found in Matthew 24:3-31. The scenes of the video are closely in sync with scripture. Other words that are used to describe the “catching up” are harpazo, rapio, and rapture, and relate to the removal of born again believers in Christ from the Earth before the Tribulation and Great Tribulation begin. The key to understanding the tribulation is that our world will be inhabited only by Jews and gentiles whom have not been born again, which means they will not have a relationship of saving faith in Christ. The born again process is one where people have their flawed spirits made as pure as the Spirit of Christ; it is accomplished by an act of the Holy Spirit, and without it, no one will see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3; 3:8). “Saint” is a word which identifies those whom have been born again. The “born again” body of believers in Christ are the “bride of Christ” (2 Cor 11:2), and comprise the true “church of Christ” (not of denominational identity). There were also Old Testament saints, whom were also born again prior to their deaths (John 3:3).

Preceding the tribulation, the “catching up of the saints” will occur. Only those whom have had their spirits born again will be “caught up.” The following three passages of scripture describe the catching up of the saints (i.e., born again believers in Christ; Church; bride of Christ). Each passage addresses only those whom have been born again (John 14:1-6; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). In each passage, Christ returns to Earth from Heaven, but does not stand on the earth while He catches up born again believers in Christ, as well as deceased believers in Christ. The deceased saints will be resurrected from the grave and given perfect resurrection bodies (their minds/souls have been aware of their Godly relationship and presence, from the time of their death, Luke 16:19-24). The saints whom are alive, will be “caught up,” and will also be given perfect resurrection bodies and souls (the soul is the mind); their born again spirits have been dwelling within the Spirit of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit from the time of their new birth (John 14:16,17,20) (1 Thes 5:23…body, soul, spirit). The destination for Christ and His “caught up” and resurrected saints is the third heaven, where they will appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ, for spiritual rewards (2 Corinthians 5:10). This catching up event is only for born again believers in Christ. Just as the saints are the Bride of Christ (1 Cor 1:2, Eph 5:22-33), God is the Husband of Israel (Isa 54:5). When the saints are caught up, and exit their living bodies (2 Cor 5:8), there will be fallen clothes all over the world; the bodies of the caught up saints will have been made into perfect resurrection bodies (1 Cor 15:50-53). There will be nothing of a mortal body to hold up humanly worn garments. From the judgment seat of Christ (2 Cor 5:10, for rewards), the saints will go with Christ to the marriage of the Lamb, where the bride will be arrayed in fine linen, with the linen being the righteous acts of the saints (Rev 19:7-8). While all of the wonderful things that have been happening to the caught up saints of God, the events of the opening video will be taking place on earth until Christ and His bride return to earth for the Battle of Armageddon. Only those whom have been born again will be caught up and taken to the judgment seat of Christ, to be absent from the tribulation; to receive spiritual rewards; to stand next to Christ at the marriage of the Lamb; to return with Christ at His second coming to earth for the Battle of Armageddon. So, whom on earth, can we say will be the ones whom are occupying the earth and being subject to the judgments of God and the persecution of the anti-Christ (the anti-Christ is a tool of God)? When the catching up of the saints occurs, and the tribulation begins, every born again believer in Christ, from all of the world, will be absent from this world; they will be instantly taken to the Presence of God. Chaos will erupt! Aircraft will suddenly be without born again pilots. Born again truck drives will no longer be in the cabs of their trucks. Many cars will be driverless. Cities, states and nations will be without many peace officers! Many ICE agents will be missing (Democrats will love that!). All born again members of the world’s military forces will be gone. There will be no small children to be found, “anywhere!” Unborn again parents will be going “berserk,” as they search endlessly for their children. News agencies will be almost totally staffed, as they begin their interviews of “religious leaders,” (many will remain; they will not have been born again). These unsaved members of the media and clergy will try to convince those, that have also been left behind, that intruding aliens, or global warming, are responsible for the millions of people being missing. The media will blast out the message that missing children of Christian parents would have eventually become, “enemies of the world,” so, “no great loss.” World governments will be missing key leaders. The U.S. Constitution will be abolished. The significance of Israel will be all but a fleeting memory.

The focus of the tribulation is “unbelieving Israel;” it has nothing to do with those whom have been born again. Jeremiah 30:7 (606 B.C.) calls that time, “Jacob’s trouble,” with Jacob being Israel. Daniel “9:20, 24-27,” (538 B.C.) discusses, “the seventieth week of Daniel,” which also relates to “unbelieving Israel.” There are many people that have the thought that believers in Christ will go through the tribulation, or through its first part. So, I will ask those whom have an infant, or a small child. What will be the purpose for “those of innocence” to suffer from the judgments of God in the tribulation? I will also ask those of whom have a born again, personal, saving, relationship with Christ; what will be the purpose for you to go through “any part” of the tribulation? I’ll make it easy for you; there is no reason! Read on for more info.

The word “rapture,” is derived from the Greek word, “Harpazo,” and the Latin word, “Rapio.”

The origin of the word “Rapture”:

“Rapture” derives from the first person plural passive of the latin “rapio/rapere” (drag off, snatch, seize, carry off) which is “Rapiemur” in the Latin Vulgate translation. [The english word ‘rape’ also derives from rapio/rapere, so you can see how even rapiemur is not equivalent to ‘rapture’].

This latin word rapiemur is used in the Latin Vulgate translation in I Thess 4:17, which is itself translated from the greek “arpagēsometha”, the second future passive indicative of “harpazo”, which means to catch/sieze/carry away/snatch/obtain by robbery. A good way to picture this word is to imagine a king forceably taking his spoils of war.

To miss the rapture is to be “left behind,” to endure the judgments of God and the persecution of the anti-Christ (who will be a tool of God).

As we have seen, the only ones whom will be caught up from the earth will be born again believers in Christ. There are only two types of people; those whom have been born again, and those whom have not been born again. No one whom has not been born again will be caught up to receive spiritual gifts, join Christ at the marriage of the Lamb, and return to earth with Christ for the Battle of Armageddon. Therefore, the only ones on earth during the tribulation will be those whom have not been born again. Read on for more info.

Anyone whom has been born again, has the Spirit of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwelling within their spirit, as well as the spirit of everyone else whom has been born again (John 14:16,17,20). While the Holy Spirit dwells within each person’s born again spirit, the Holy Spirit is teaching them the things of God, and is prompting them to righteous living (John 14:26; 14:26-27; 15:26-27; 16:7-11). Until we have been given a resurrection soul (which occurs when we are caught up), we will not be perfect in all of our thoughts and actions. All of us make mistakes. But, those who persist in exhibiting ungodly lifestyles do not have the Spirit of God dwelling within their spirits.

21 For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.

Note. MacArthur Study Bible. 24:21 great tribulation. The words “has not been” and “nor ever shall be”—along with the description that follows—identify this as the yet-future time in which God’s wrath shall be poured out upon the earth.

The condition of the world during the time of Noah was so sinful that God intervened.

Genesis 6:11-13 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

11 Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

13 Then God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.

The effects of the return of Christ to the earth for the Battle of Armageddon will be greater than the effects that accompanied the world-wide flood of Noah’s time. God gives his creation time to repent; when repentance does not occur, God deals swiftly and severely with sin. Such will be the response of God when He pours out His judgments on our sinful world during the Tribulation (2 Peter 3:8, 66 A.D.).

During the time of the tribulation, and the great tribulation, all judgments upon the earth, and on those whom will dwell on the earth, will come from God. Those judgments will be poured out in the forms of Seal Judgments, Trumpet Judgments and Bowl Judgments (Per Ryrie Study Bible notes, as follow:)

The Seven Seal Judgments. (Revelation 6:1-8:6) 1. Antichrist. 2. War. 3. Famine. 4. Death. 5. Martyrs prayers. 6. Great earthquakes. 7. Announcement of Trumpet Judgments. (Christ will break the seals that pour out these judgments. Rev 6:1).

The Seven Trumpet Judgments. (Revelation 8:7-9:21) 1. A third of vegetation burned. 2. A third of the sea judged. 3. A third of fresh water judged. 4. A third of luminaries darkened. 5. Increased demonic activity. 6. A third of mankind killed. 7. Announcement of Bowl Judgments.(Christ will break the seal that pours out these judgments. Rev 8:1).

The Seven Bowl Judgments. (Revelation 15:1 – 16:21) 1. Malignant sores. 2. Sea turned to blood.3. Fresh waters to blood. 4. Men scorched. 5. Darkness over the kingdom of the beast. 6. Invasion from the east. 7. Greatest earthquake and widespread destruction. (The voice of God orders the angels to pour out these judgments. Rev 16:1).

Earth Dwellers will be those whom will be left behind. Those, of whom have been born again, do not need to be tested further; when they were born again, there remained no more testing for them to determine their relationship with Christ. The earth dwellers will remain defiant to God, but will be tested to determine if they have come to saving faith in Christ as their Lord and Savior. There is no reason for little babies, or anyone else whom has been born again, to undergo the judgments of God.

After the second coming of Christ at the Battle of Armageddon, those whom have been born again during the tribulation will go into the millennium. Those whom have not been born again will die and will be raised at the end of the millennium, where they will appear before the Great White Throne Judgment, and will be thrown into the lake of fire, which burns forever (Rev 20:15). Those whom have been born again, will go from the millennium to the eternal state of the new heaven, new earth and new Jerusalem where they will dwell forever with God and the Lamb, where the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple (Rev 21:22).

Here is the key to eternal life: “You must be born again (John 3:3).

Many people live their lives in total darkness, as it relates to their lack of understanding of the times and things that lie ahead. As a way of illuminating such spiritual darkness, God has provided biblical prophecy. Certain Jews, known as prophets, were chosen by God to present His Word to the Jews, whom are known in scripture as “God’s chosen people,” (Deuteronomy 7:6). The Jews were chosen by God to be a holy and righteous people, to bring a Holy and Righteous Messiah into our world. This study will focus on the prophets of Israel which spoke words of judgment and encouragement to the Jews during the times of their being dispersed from their “God ordained land” (Genesis 15:18-21), which occurred after the death of King Solomon in 931 B.C. The prophecies will be studied from the time of their being given by God to each prophet, until the times of their fulfillment.

This post introduces a series of articles that are being published in a study of the Old Testament Jewish Prophets. The focus of the study is to tie prophecies, that go back as far as 840 B.C., with the prophecies of Obadiah, and continue forward to the prophecies of Malachi, which took place between 450 and 400 B.C. There are two groups of prophets, which were considered to be either, major or minor prophets, depending on the length of their prophecies. However, no prophet, whether major or minor, may be considered to be any greater, or lesser, than any of the other prophets. There are four major prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel). There are twelve minor prophets (Jonah, Amos, Hosea, Obadiah, Joel, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi). The writings of the prophets link past history to future events that will affect, not only Jews, but Gentiles too. Each writer’s prophecies were future to the writer, but are “history, or future,” to us today, depending on their prophetic fulfillment.

142 – Zechariah 3.9 – Third and Fourth Covenants

At the time of the writing of this article, Jews around the world have already begun their time of honoring the Sabbath, which begins at sunset on Friday of each week, and continues through the following Saturday at sunset. Jews understand the Sabbath to be a gift from God (Elohim) to them, and that the Sabbath is a sign between God and the Jews. This belief is also held as being true by many believers in Christ.

It was in the year 1491 B.C., that the Sabbath was first observed by the Jews.

In this article we will discuss the time of Isaiah 2:4 (760 B.C.) which is known as the Kingdom Of God, and is also known as the millennium, the thousand-year reign of Messiah/Christ, and the Kingdom Age.

“You must be born again,” are words that relate to the spiritual state that anyone must have in order for them to be in the eternal Presence of God/Elohim/Yahweh/Adonai/Theos/Messiah/Christ (Ezekiel 36:24-27, John 3:3-8, 2 Corinthians 5:17, 1 John 1:5.)

In my post “139 – The Jewish Prophet Zechariah,” the words, “in one day,” are written. The wording of that verse follows:

Zechariah 3:9 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

9 For behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; on one stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave an inscription on it,’ declares the Lord of hosts, ‘and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

The following terms are used interchangeably: Kingdom of God, Kingdom Age, Millennium, Millennial reign of Messiah/Christ.

“The Day,” in question, will be the dividing line between all that has been bad for Israel, and all that will be good for Israel, from then and forever. The Kingdom Age, which is also known as the Millennium, meaning one thousand years, dictates the length of time of the Kingdom Age, which will be a specific time for Israel to experience true peace. Following the Millennium/Kingdom Age will be the eternal state of the new heaven, new earth and new Jerusalem (Revelation 21:1-2), which will be an eternity of peace for Israel. It is important to know that Israel is the only group that is identified as a nation that will have a specific place on earth for its habitation during the millennium. Other people, not nations, will also be present on earth during this time of peace, but none of them will occupy “their own land.” During the millennium, non-Jews will reside outside of the boundaries of Israel until they also enter the eternal state. With that having been said, it must also be stated that the Messiah/Christ will rule and reign over all of the earth during the millennium (Revelation 20:4-5), and that no one will enter the Kingdom Of God, or the eternal state, without first having been born again (John 3:3).

It will be during the Kingdom Age that the purposes of God for Israel will be fully realized; the words to Israel, from each of the Jewish prophets, will be seen to have been true. Non-Jews, whom will be present on earth at that time, will also benefit from the promises that have been made to Israel by God. The promises that God made to Israel are known as covenants. It will be during the Kingdom Age that those covenants will find their fulfillment. The following are the third and fourth of God’s four covenants that He made with Israel, as they relate to the Kingdom Age. As we continue with this study of the Jewish prophets, it is important to remember that the nation of Israel, through the Law, was a chosen people/nation to be a holy and righteous people to bring a holy and righteous Messiah into the world. It will also be through the Messiah/Christ, that the Law will be fulfilled (Matthew 5:17). It will be through faith in Messiah/Christ, as Lord and Savior, that Jews will enter the Kingdom Age. No other nation has ever been blessed with such a calling. People from other nations will also have individual Kingdom Age blessings, through a belief in Christ as Lord and Savior. However, those gentile blessings will be a result of the blessings that will have been showered upon Israel.

We will discuss the remaining two covenants

THIRD COVENANT

3. THE THIRD COVENANT. This is the promise that the King, throne, and royal house are fulfilled by the Messiah in the Kingdom Age. The fact that Israel will have a kingdom, over which David’s Son reigns as King, is based on this covenant.

16 And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.” ’ ”

Comment: NIV Quest Study Bible Notes. All the kings who ruled in Jerusalem after David (20 in all) were his descendants. No coup ever eradicated David’s line. But ultimately, the Messiah is the fulfillment of this promise. Mary was told by an angel that her son, Jesus, would someday occupy David’s throne (Lk 1:31–33).

FOURTH COVENANT

4. THE FOURTH COVENANT. This is the promise of a new heart, the forgiveness of sin, the filling of the Spirit, all of which will take place in the converted nation of Israel in the Kingdom Age. All of the spiritual blessings that Israel receives are in fulfillment of this covenant.

31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

NKJV Study Bible. 31:33 I will make: The new covenant would be initiated by God Himself, assuring its effectiveness. after those days: This expression looks forward to the time of fulfillment of the new covenant, which found fruition in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. put My law in their minds … write it on their hearts: Together the mind and heart describe the total inner motivations of mind, will, emotion, and spirit.

Ezekiel 37:26 New King James Version (NKJV) (As part of the New Covenant, God will place the Millennial Temple in Jerusalem. The tribulation temple, which was not of God, will be destroyed in an earthquake, that will occur “in one day,” prior to the building of the Millennial Temple, which will definitely “be of God.”)

26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore.

Zechariah 14:3-4 New King James Version (NKJV) (The Messiah will fight for Israel; the tribulation temple will be destroyed, “in one day.”)

3 Then the Lord will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle. 4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south.

Comment. MacArthur Study Bible. 14:3, 4 His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives. To prevent the eradication of His remnant, the Lord will personally intervene to fight against the gathered nations. Just as He fought for His people in the past, so He will do in the future as the ultimate Warrior-King. Jesus will literally return to the Mt. of Olives, located E of the Kidron Valley, just as the angels announced at His ascension (cf. Acts 1:11). When He does, there will be a tremendous topographical upheaval (perhaps an earthquake), a phenomenon not uncommon when God announces His coming in judgment (cf. Mic. 1:2–4; Nah. 1:5).

The Kingdom Age finds the complete fulfillment of all that God promised to the nation of Israel.

Israel’s Significance

The opening video of this article shows Jews whom reside in the borough of Brooklyn, in New York City in the United States. They are significant in this article’s discussion of Israel, and Jews residing throughout our world.

The Jewish Prophets of Israel wrote many things about the significance of Israel, as they believe were given to them by God (Elohim). Many people, whom identify themselves as being believers in Christ, agree with the writings of the Jewish prophets. The following is a Christian perspective of Israel.

It is impossible to have a study of eschatology, without also having an understanding of the nation of Israel, as it relates to the end times scenario. Any serious student of the end times must seek an understanding of the covenant promises of God to Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3), as they relate to the land of Israel, the covenant seed of Israel, and the end times promise of the Kingdom Age. There is a movement that has existed for many years, and is very much alive today, that is known as “replacement theology.” The belief within replacement theology is that the church is the new Israel. The reasoning for such error is because Israel rejected Christ, is in a state of unbelief today, and that the promises and blessings that God made to Israel are now beneficent to the church. However, a careful reading of Genesis 12:1-3, shows that the blessings of God for Israel are not based on any state of belief, or unbelief, that may be present in the spiritual condition of Israel. God has never made a promise to any nation or people, as He has made to “the nation of Israel.” There is no such thing as “a Christian nation,” having God-ordained geographic boundaries. The church is the born again body of believers in Christ, and is by no means a nation. During the Kingdom Age, the nation of Israel will dwell within the God-given boundaries of the land of Israel, that is based on the covenant that God made with Abraham. During the time of the Millennium (Kingdom Age), born again Gentiles will reside in lands that are located beyond the borders of Israel. In order for Jews to find their place in the Kingdom Age land of Israel, each of those Jews must have been born again (John 3:3).

At present time, the nation of Israel is living in a condition of unbelief, as it relates to its relationship with Christ, the Messiah. The city of Tel Aviv is a very sinful city; the city of Jerusalem is a city of much less sin. Since 1948, Jews have been returning to their homeland, and in a state of unbelief. Unbelieving Jews will be tested for belief in Christ during the Tribulation. At the end of the Tribulation, those Jews, whom have come to saving faith in Christ, will return in belief to the Lord, and to a much larger land, that extends from the Nile River in Egypt to the Euphrates River in Iraq. Regardless of Israel’s sinfulness, or of its proper standing with Messiah/Christ, God’s Word is firm: Genesis 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse.” We have no choice, but to bless Israel, or to be the targets of God’s curses.

Daniel 11:40: The King Of the South is the leader of a political and military force that comes from south of the Holy Land, but the possibility is that it involves much more than only Egypt, and can be identified as an African army.
Daniel 11:40: The King of the North is more than the small territory possessed by Syria, and probably includes all the political and military forces of the lands to the north of the Holy Land.

Daniel 11:36-45: This section gives details of Antichrist’s future career, and requires reference to some details of Israel’s last days (10:14 and 12:1-2).
Daniel 11:37: “the gods of his fathers”: Antichrist will have no respect for religion or religious heritages. The phrase does not mean that Antichrist must be a Jew. He will be unkind, cruel, and inhumane.
Daniel 11:38: Antichrist’s “god” will be military power and activity.
Daniel 11:40-45: In the tribulation period, “the king of the south” and “the king of the North” will attempt a pincer movement against Antichrist (v 40). But, with Israel as his base (vs 41), he will first defeat Egypt, then Libya and Ethiopia (Sudan). “will follow at his heels” (v 43). Shall be part of his dominion.”rumors from the East and from the North” (v 44). May relate to the armies of Rev 9:13-21; 16:12). The threat of these armies will cause Antichrist to return to Israel, making his headquarters between Jerusalem and the Mediterranean (v 45). But, he will come to his end at the hands of the victorious, returning Christ (Rev 19:11-21).

141 – Zechariah 3.9 – Second Covenant

The Jewish Prophet Zechariah 3.9 – The Second Covenant – David & Rebecca Jewish Wedding / Boca Raton / Florida / By focus Video. In this video we see another beautiful Jewish couple in another beautiful Jewish wedding. Jews are beautiful people.

It is important for non-Jews to understand things of Judaism, especially if there is any kind of bond which supports Jew-Gentile relationships. It is the purpose of these articles to make more of Judaism understandable to Gentiles. Such, especially, is the case of the information that is contained in this article. Because there is a lot of common ground between Jews and Christians, it is very important for followers of Christ to have a good understanding of the things that are important to Jews, especially when such things apply to Christians. The need to understand things of Judaism extends beyond the mindset of those who have a belief in Christ as the Messiah.

This article is a continuation of the post: “140 – The Jewish Prophet Zechariah – 3:9 – All People,” The First Covenant.

In this article we will continue our discussion of the time of Isaiah 2:4 (760 B.C.) which is known as the Kingdom Of God, and is also known as the millennium and the thousand-year reign of Messiah/Christ. We will discuss the second of four covenants that relate to the return of Israel to the promised land in the Kingdom Age, as promised by God to His chosen people (Deuteronomy 7:6). See the following specific land promise (Genesis 15:18) and description of that land ( Genesis 15:19-21), as follows:

18 On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying:

“To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates—

19 the Kenites, the Kenezzites, the Kadmonites, 20 the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, 21 the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.”

Comment: MacArthur Study Bible. 15:18–21 river of Egypt to the…Euphrates. Scripture records both general (Ex. 23:31) and specific (Num. 34:1–12) descriptions of the Promised Land, centering on the ancient land of Canaan. Such precise geographic demarcation will not allow for any redefinitions which would emasculate God’s promise of its specificity. The river of Egypt was most probably what became known as the Wadi El Arish, the southern border of Judah. Kenites…Jebusites. The various peoples who inhabited the land are named. Such precise detailing of the nations in the land of Canaan attests again to the specificity of the Promised Land in God’s promises.

“You must be born again,” are words that relate to the spiritual state that anyone must have in order for them to be in the eternal Presence of God/Elohim/Yahweh/Adonai/Theos/Messiah/Christ (Ezekiel 36:24-27, John 3:3-8, 2 Corinthians 5:17, 1 John 1:5.)

In my post “139 – The Jewish Prophet Zechariah,” the words, “in one day,” are written. The wording of that verse follows:

9 For behold, the stone That I have laid before Joshua: Upon the stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave its inscription,’ Says the Lord of hosts, ‘And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.’

Unless otherwise stated, the NKJV translation will be used in this post.

The following terms are used interchangeably. Kingdom of God, Kingdom Age, Millennium, Millennial reign of Messiah/Christ.

“The Day,” in question, will be the dividing line between all that has been bad for Israel, and all that will be good for Israel, from then and forever. The term, “millennium,” dictates that the The Kingdom Age will last for a thousand-year period of time. It will be during the millennium that Israel will experience true peace. It is important to know that Israel is the only group of people that is identified as a nation that will have a specific place on earth for its habitation during the Kingdom Age. Other people will also be present on earth during this time of peace, but none of them will occupy the land of Israel. During the millennium, non-Jews will reside outside of the boundaries of Israel. When the Kingdom Age ends, all born again Jews and Gentiles will enter the eternal state (Rev 21-22). With that having been said, it must also be stated that the Messiah/Christ will rule and reign over all of the earth during the millennium (Revelation 20:4-5), and that no one will enter the Kingdom Of God, or the eternal state, without first having been born again (John 3:3).

SECOND COVENANT

2. THE SECOND COVENANT. This covenant relates to the promises that the possession of the land of Israel are fulfilled by Israel in the Kingdom Age. All of the spiritual blessings that Israel will receive will be the fulfillment of this covenant.

Deuteronomy 30:3 New King James Version (NKJV)

3 “… the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.”

Ezekiel 36:24 New King James Version (NKJV) (Israel to be taken to its own land)

24 “…I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.”

Comment: MacArthur Study Bible. 36:24 “bring you into your own land.” God assured Israel that He will bring them out of other lands back to the Promised Land (v. 24), the very land from which He scattered them (v. 20). It is the same “land that I gave to your fathers” (v. 28), a land distinct from those of other nations (v. 36), and a land whose cities will be inhabited by those who return (vv. 33, 36, 38). The establishment of the modern state of Israel indicates this has initially begun.

The following information comes from Scofield Reference Notes.

This Covenant gives the conditions under which Israel entered the land of promise. It is important to see that the nation has never as yet taken the land under the unconditional Abrahamic Covenant, nor has it ever possessed the whole land (cf. Genesis 15:18; Numbers 34:1-12. This Covenant is in seven parts.)

(1) Dispersion for disobedience, Deuteronomy 30:1; Deuteronomy 28:63-68 (See Scofield “Genesis 15:18”)

(2) The future repentance of Israel while in the dispersion, Deuteronomy 30:2.

(3) The return of the Lord, Deuteronomy 30:3; Amos 9:9-14; Acts 15:14-17.

(4) Restoration to the land, Deuteronomy 30:5; Isaiah 11:11; Isaiah 11:12; Jeremiah 23:3-8; Ezekiel 37:21-25

(5) National conversion, Deuteronomy 30:6; Romans 11:26; Romans 11:27; Hosea 2:14-16

As For Me

As for me, I have no ax to grind, but “the ax of truth.” My grandparents were poor and uneducated. When the great depression of 1929 occurred, my grandfather was twenty-five years old, my grandmother was twenty-one, and my mother was three years old. As a family they were share croppers, which meant that they worked the fields of other people; my mother would help in picking the fields (that would be child abuse today) for cotton, peas, beans, corn, and anything else that would make money for them, or give them food to eat. They would farm in Florida in the winter time, and farm in Georgia during the summer months. My grandfather would hunt and fish for food, in addition to the food that they would take from the ground. As with almost all of my family, they were Democrats. My grandfather used to talk about “Hoover Days,” and thought that FDR was the poor man’s President. Myself, I am neither Democrat, nor Republican. I don’t even like the term “Independent,” because after a political debate, there is always a line that shows up on the tv screen that shows Independents as “being a line” that hangs helplessly in the air between Democrats and Republicans. My father was a merchant seaman, union member and Democrat. He was in the United States Army Air Corps in the second world war, and was stationed in the Philippines, not far from the base where I was assigned during the Vietnam War; he was also assigned to a base in New Guinea. My mother was a homemaker (that is higher than a Ph. D.). She also had jobs, but was always at home whenever my brother, sister and I would come home from school. When I started school, first grade was “first.” My SAT score was “808,” “ouch!” During the year before Jimmie Davis became the Democrat Governor of the state where my family resided, he recorded “Suppertime.” San Nunn was a Democrat Senator of the state where I resided at the time of my military retirement; he flew an American flag over our nation’s capitol, on the day that I retired, in honor of my military service. That flag is now in my retirement shadow box, which also has ribbons and medals, of which I know nothing about the significance of most of them. If a funeral procession approaches me, I stop my car and pray for the grieving family members. If I am at a parade, and see the American flag being carried toward me, I stand at attention, remove my hat and place it over my heart, and remain standing at attention until the flag passes by. I love “Mom, home and apple pie.” I believe that the United States of America is the best nation that has ever existed. I believe in God (Elohim) as the creator of our world, and try to honor Christ as my Lord and Savior. I love and respect those whom may neither love nor respect me.

Israel – Prophecy And Current Era – 7-12-2018 – The Temple

Will there be a temple on the temple mount in the last days?

Jews around the world are eagerly looking to the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem. Consider the video discussion and related Scriptures that tell of things that will happen when the temple, which will be the tribulation temple, is standing in Jerusalem. The tribulation temple will be built by Jews which were not saved, and which were left behind to endure the tribulation. The tribulation temple will be destroyed prior to the construction of the Millennial Temple, which will be built by God (Ezekiel 37:26-28). The tribulation temple may be destroyed by a great earthquake that will take place at the end of the tribulation, as the Messiah/Christ returns to earth from Heaven with his born again saints, where He will set up the Kingdom Age/Millennium. The earthquake will be one of many that will quake in many places around the world, at the same time (Zechariah 14:3-5) as Christ returns with His saints for the spiritual Battle of Armageddon (Revelation 19:11-20:4). Matthew 24:29-31 describes the same event of Zechariah of Revelation.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Man of Lawlessness

1 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

Note: MacArthur Study Bible. 3-4. This man is not Satan, although Satan is the force behind him (v. 9) and he has motives like the desires of the devil (cf. Is. 14:13, 14). Paul is referring to the very act of ultimate apostasy which reveals the final Antichrist and sets the course for the events that usher in the Day of the Lord. Apparently, he will be seen as supportive of religion so that God and Christ will not appear as his enemies until the apostasy. He exalts himself and opposes God by moving into the temple, the place for worship of God, declaring himself to be God and demanding the worship of the world. In this act of Satanic self-deification, he commits the great apostasy in defiance of God. For the first 3½ years of the Tribulation, he maintains relations with Israel, but halts those (cf. Dan. 9:27); and for the last 3½ years, there is great tribulation under his reign (cf. Dan. 7:25; 11:36–39; Matt. 24:15–21; Rev. 13:1–8) culminating with the Day of the Lord.

Perilous Times

15 “Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 17 Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. 18 Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!

Note: MacArthur Study Bible. 24:15 “abomination of desolation.” See notes on Daniel 9:27; 11:31. This phrase originally referred to the desecration of the temple by Antiochus Epiphanes, king of Syria in the second century B.C. Antiochus invaded Jerusalem in 168 B.C., made the altar into a shrine to Zeus, and even sacrificed pigs on it. However, Jesus clearly was looking toward a yet-future “abomination of desolation.” Some suggest that this prophecy was fulfilled in A.D. 70 when Titus invaded Jerusalem and destroyed the temple (see note on v. 2). However, the Apostle Paul saw a still-future fulfillment (2 Thess. 2:3, 4), as did John (Rev. 13:14, 15)—when the Antichrist sets up an image in the temple during the future tribulation. Christ’s words here therefore look beyond the events of A.D. 70 to a time of even greater global cataclysm that will immediately precede His coming (cf. vv. 29–31).

Note: MacArthur Study Bible. “the temple of God.” Refers to the Holy of Holies and the Holy Place, not the entire temple complex (cf. v. 2). A rebuilt temple will exist during the time of the Tribulation (Dan. 9:27; 12:11; Matt. 24:15; 2 Thess. 2:4).

Israel – Prophecy And Current Era – Temple Construction

Tribulation Temple The Bible refers to a Jewish temple in Jerusalem during the tribulation time. When will it be built?

John Ankerberg Show, Published on May 28, 2018. Introduction comments: From our special 1 hour question and answer session on the book of Revelation featuring very special guests Dr. Ron Rhodes, Dr. Ed Hindson, and Dr. Mark Hitchcock.

Jews have a great interest in the reconstruction of the Jerusalem temple that was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D. In the opening video there is a discussion about the tribulation temple. The credentials of the participants in the discussion can be found on my blog pages, Sources and Library.

The video guests discuss the destruction of the Dome of The Rock. Please let me say that if God wants the Dome of the Rock to be destroyed, the Dome of the Rock “will be destroyed.”

The tribulation temple which will be built in Jerusalem, during the time of the tribulation, will have to be destroyed so that the Millennial Temple can be built. Per Zechariah 14:1-5, there will be a great earthquake that will take place at the end of the tribulation, as the Messiah/Christ returns from Heaven to Earth at the Battle of Armageddon; then, He will establish the Millennial Kingdom. Pay special attention to verse 4. The tribulation temple will not be “of God.” It will be built by Jews which are not believers in Messiah/Christ, and which are left behind, having missed the rapture of the saints. The tribulation temple will be built under the graces of the anti-Christ; the anti-Christ will claim himself to be God (Daniel 11:36; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4; Revelation 13:5-6). The Millennial/Kingdom-Age Temple will be built by God (Ezekiel 37:26). Ezekiel 40-48 describes the Millennial Temple. The Glory of God was Present in the Temple that Solomon built, and was finished, in 1004 B.C., per 2 Chronicles 7:1-3. The Glory of God departed the Temple, per Ezekiel’s vision of 594 B.C. (Ezekiel 10-11). The Jerusalem Temple was destroyed in 586 B.C. by Babylonian invaders (2 Kings 25:1-10). The Glory of God did not return to the temple that was rebuilt in Jerusalem in 515 B.C. (Ezra 6:13-15). It will only be during the Kingdom Age/Millennium that the Glory of God will return to the Temple, “the Millennial Temple,” (Ezekiel 43:1-3).

Following, is a chronology of events that lead from the Glory of the Lord filling the Temple, to the Glory of the Lord refilling the Temple.

The Glory of the Lord Fills the Temple

Fire from Heaven

Parents! Teach Your Children – The Declaration Of Independence – July 4, 1776

No one should have more interest in the education of children, than should the parents of their children. In our nation, there is a great deal of discussion that is going on that relates to our country and its governing processes. In order for parents to be able to teach their children about the formation of our nation, and the government that represents its citizens, those parents need to have an understanding of such facts, themselves.

The thirteen colonies, which became the original thirteen states of the United States Of America declared their independence from the tyrannical government of Great Britain. The Declaration Of Independence states, in detail, the reasons for their exit from the oppressive British government. There are people in the United States Of America which say that those colonies were wrong in starting a nation that was abased on Divine Providence but, the case is made very clearly as to the reasons for declaring the United States Of America to be free from Great Britain, and its design being Divinely inspired and and established.

The Bill of Rights was written to establish individual rights of America’s citizens from the government that they had established, and was not a document that gave certain rights to the citizens of our country, “from our government.” The Bill of Rights came as a result of the horrible experiences that the writers of our Constitution had suffered at the hands of Great Britain. It was from those experiences of government overreach that the Bill of Rights, being the first ten amendments to our Constitution, was added to our Constitution. Stated again, the Bill of Rights provides freedoms for the citizens of the United States of America, “from the government” of the United States of America.

As a child, I was taught Civics, which explained the formation of our country. During the Carter administration, the Department of Education was established, which made education a political matter. Since then, Civics is no longer taught, without putting a presidential political spin on the subject of the greatness of our country, or lack thereof. Cursive writing and sentence diagramming are gone. The “Three Rs” of education (reading, writing, arithmetic) have suffered greatly, as have other subjects of instruction. Instead, with a liberal president’s cabinet, our children can be expected to receive an education that reflects a mindset of homosexuality and abortion on demand, with no emphasis being placed on the colonial formation of the United States of America, with the resulting greatness of the greatest nation that has ever been formed in our world.

The constitution of the United States of America is not a “living and breathing document,” to be changed “at whim.” There are steps that allow for changes to be made. The Supreme Court’s mission is to interpret the Constitution in cases that are brought before it, and is not to create laws. Prospective Supreme Court candidates should be judged on whether they have shown a history of interpreting the Constitution, as opposed to making judicial decisions that are based on their own personal opinions.

Consider the words of Max McLean in the following video on the Declaration Of Independence. Children need to know the facts of the forming of our country. It is up to parents to ensure that their children receive correct teaching on this subject.

How to Understand the 3 Branches of Government

Consider how the President of the United States is elected. The first thirteen states elected a president of those thirteen states; each state had a say in this process. No one state could be the sole determining state in this election process. The Electoral College prevents elections from being hacked and stolen. In the Presidential elections of 1992 and 1996, Bill Clinton did not receive a majority of the popular vote in either of those elections. It was the Electoral College vote that decided the winner in each of those elections. The constitution was found to be sound in its design and purpose.

Crime And Disease – The Results Of Uncontrolled Migration

Consider the effects of uncontrolled migration. Consider communicable diseases that can be spread by the recent mass influx of non-citizens that are crossing over the southern border into the USA. All Americans have great compassion for the less fortunate but, here is a question that is not being raised by those that have not thought this situation out fully, and clearly. Let all of the open borders advocates seriously answer this question. DO YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO DIE FROM A DISEASE THAT HAS BEEN BROUGHT INTO OUR COUNTRY BY A CHILD FROM MEXICO, OR OTHER CENTRAL OR SOUTH AMERICAN COUNTRIES? Consider the violence in Europe that is the result of uncontrolled mass migration; it could happen in our country. Consider what would have been the mass migration effects of Hillary being in office.

Clinton called President Barack Obama’s plan to admit 10,000 Syrian refugees in fiscal year 2016 a good start in a September 2015 interview on CBS Face the Nation, but she said the “United States has to do more.” She suggested admitting 65,000 refugees, amounting to a 550 percent increase.

Consider what the plan of Hillary would have done to our nation.

Why are the advocates for illegal mass migration not equally concerned about the poverty that is undeniable among countless Americans? Consider the horrible conditions that exist in the hometown of America’s former leader.

The effects of uncontrolled migration are evident from the crime that has come from gang violence.

I respectfully disagree with the House of Representatives minority leader. She should tell her story to the families that have suffered from the gang violence of illegal aliens.

In addition to respiratory ailment, uncontrolled migration can spread other diseases as well. Malaria is one of the leading causes of death due to infection worldwide. It is spread by the female anopheles mosquito and there were an estimated 2 million people around the world diagnosed with malaria in 2012. Malaria has five species, Plasmodium vivax, P. ovale, P. falciparum, and P. malariae. The fifth species is P. knowlesi, which rarely infect humans.

In Central America, over 90% of all malaria cases are caused by the less lethal P. vivax, with Nicaragua having up to 10% cases being caused by the very dangerous P. falciparum. Even though P. vivax is not nearly as deadly, it has a “liver stage;” the parasite can live in the liver of its host for several months prior to causing symptoms. There is a high incident of resistance to prophylaxis and treatments and there is no vaccination. (Click on link to see the remainder of this article.)

Matthew 25:40 has erroneously been used by pro-illegal migration personalities as justification for releasing illegal aliens into America’s cities and states. Here is a quick lesson in the correct application of that verse of scripture.

The context of the verse is that of the second coming of Christ, at the Battle of Armageddon. Christ is addressing the gentiles which showed compassion to Jews that had suffered from the persecution of the anti-Christ during the tribulation. The same politicians that use this verse for the purposes of compassion see nothing wrong with killing an unborn child, even up until the time of birth, which is the stated position of the democrat party.
