18 Israel – Shabbat – We Remember Those Murdered

LOS ANGELES, We Remember, Mah Tovu, Published on Nov 6, 2018

Deuteronomy 14:2 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
2 For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.

Immediately after the tragic shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA, Rabbis Ken Chasen and Yoshi Zweiback began composing a song dedicated to the memory of the eleven souls lost on October 27, 2018. Based on the poem, “We Remember Them” by Sylvan Kamens and Rabbi Jack Riemer, the song is a promise that those loved ones who have died are never truly gone so long as we carry them with us. Produced by Kenli Mattus, “We Remember” includes the voices of many of Los Angeles’ most prominent Cantors and Jewish musicians.
